Terms & Conditions

Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to solar panel and battery storage installation services provided by iComm Energy Solutions, a trading name of iComm Solutions Limited (Company No. 17004498, registered office 38 Caxton House, Kings Park Road, Moulton Park, Northampton, NN3 6LG) — referred to here as "we", "us" or "our" — to you, the customer ("you"). They apply alongside the specific written quote and contract we provide for your job, which takes priority over these general terms if the two conflict.

Quotes and pricing

We offer a free, no-obligation site survey before providing a quote. Quotes are based on the information available at survey and are valid for the period stated on your written quote — if it doesn't state one, please treat it as valid for 30 days. The final price is confirmed in writing before any work begins, and we'll agree any changes to scope or price with you before carrying them out.

Qualifying residential solar panel and battery storage installations currently benefit from 0% VAT under UK rules in force at the time of writing. VAT treatment can change, and any non-qualifying work will be charged at the applicable rate.

Certification

We work with MCS-certified installation partners on relevant jobs while completing our own MCS accreditation. We'll confirm the certification status relevant to your installation before work begins, and can provide partner certification details on request.

Booking and payment

A deposit is payable to secure your installation date, with the balance due as set out in your written quote or contract. Exact amounts and payment stages will always be confirmed with you in writing before you're asked to pay anything.

Your right to cancel

If you agree to a contract with us away from our business premises (for example in your home), UK consumer law gives you a 14-day cooling-off period from the day after you receive written confirmation of the contract, during which you can cancel without giving a reason. To cancel, just tell us clearly in writing (an email to hello@icommenergy.co.uk is fine).

If you ask us to start work within the 14-day period, we'll only do so with your clear, explicit agreement in writing — and you may still owe us for work reasonably carried out up to the point you cancel.

Access and site conditions

You'll need to provide reasonable access to your property for the survey and installation. We'll assess your roof, electrics and proposed equipment locations (including battery siting, following PAS 63100 safety guidance) at survey stage and flag anything that affects the quote or timeline before work begins.

Warranties

Our installation work carries a workmanship warranty for the period stated in your contract. Solar panels, batteries, and inverters are also covered by the relevant manufacturer's own warranty, details of which we'll provide at handover.

Liability

We carry public liability insurance appropriate to our work. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, which can't be limited by law. Beyond that, our liability for loss connected to your installation is limited to the value of the contract, except where the law says otherwise.

Complaints

If something's not right, please contact us at hello@icommenergy.co.uk or 01604 931 224 and we'll do our best to put it right promptly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these general terms from time to time; the date at the top shows when they were last revised. The specific terms of your own contract are those confirmed in writing for your job.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
